I hired Robert Mac to perform comedy for a 50th Birthday surprise party for my husband and 30+ guests. I was a bit nervous because comedy can be very personal and I wanted to make sure all my guests would not only be entertained, but also comfortable. Everyone in the room was laughing, and most importantly, so was my husband. After the show, everyone made sure to say how creative, fun and totally enjoyable the entertainment was.
Robert called me about a week before the party so I could let him know some inside info on my husband for the act — his stand up was perfectly personalized without ever embarrassing my husband. Plus, the way he worked the information into the act seemed almost accidental rather than contrived.
He not only listened to me about what I wanted, he also gave me excellent suggestions for how I should set up for his performance (i.e. moving everyone to a different location – away from food; making sure everyone had a place to sit; etc). I really appreciated his professionalism, attention to detail, and most importantly, his stand-up comedy.
